If you’re looking for an alcoholic drink that is smooth, sweet and delicious, my Homemade Baileys Irish Cream Recipe is your go-to. It’s a quick and easy recipe that you can whip up in minutes. Baileys is one of my favourite liqueurs and is traditionally made in Ireland with cream, cocoa, and Irish whiskey. But…there’s a small twist to this recipe (keep scrolling to find out what it is).
How to make Baileys Irish Cream at home
To make my Homemade Baileys Irish Cream Recipe, you will need milk, whipping cream, condensed milk, espresso, vanilla, caramel sauce and Irish Whiskey. Traditionally, Baileys Irish Cream is made with cocoa powder or chocolate sauce/syrup. Personally, I prefer to use caramel or dulce de leche as I feel that it adds a delicious flavour that complements the Baileys really well. Think Caramel Latte Baileys….Delicious!
I suggest using an electric mixer or a handheld whisk if you prefer a thicker consistency. If you prefer a light consistency, add 100ml more milk or Whiskey (for a stronger drink). Want to turn this recipe into Baileys Irish Cream Ice Cream instead? Simply replace the milk with whipping cream and whisk to medium peaks, and reduce the whiskey by half.
As always, let me know if you make this, I’d love to see!
Cheers,
Kim x
