<h6>Traditional Tiramisu Recipe</h6>
<p>Traditionally, Tiramisu is made up of alternating layers of ladyfingers soaked in espresso and coffee liqueur and mascarpone whipped cream sprinkled with cocoa powder. It&#8217;s a very simple recipe that can be done in 40 minutes or less and the result is <em>buonissimo</em>! I love the combination of coffee, chocolate and cream &#8211; super refreshing and indulgent in a light way. ;</p>
<p>So for my recipe, I made a few small variations:</p>
<ol>
<li>No eggs &#8211; This tiramisu recipe is without eggs for 2 reasons. First of all, I know that not everyone is comfortable eating raw eggs even though they are pasteurised. Secondly, it just makes it all the more quick &; easy to whip up and tastes just as amazing.</li>
<li>Coffee liqueur &#8211; I used Kahlúa coffee liqueur, you can use any brand that you like or even opt for an alcohol-free tiramisu by omitting it completely.</li>
<li>Cocoa powder on both cream layers &#8211; Chocolate is just delicious and the bitterness from the cocoa powder balances everything really nicely.</li>
<li> ;Piping on top &#8211; I do this extra step to make it look more aesthetically-pleasing, it is completely optional.</li>

<p>It&#8217;s important to let everything set and combine in the fridge for a sturdy tiramisu that doesn&#8217;t fall apart. As much as you would like to dig in, I really recommend to keep it chilled at least overnight before serving it. Your patience will pay off, I promise.</p>
