Tzatziki Greek Yogurt Sauce is refreshingly tasty and surprisingly healthy. Since it’s basically a combination of Greek Yogurt, vegetables and herbs, it’s super nutritious and good for your body. The first time I tried it was at a party and a Greek guy served his authentic Greek Tzatziki recipe – I loved it. Afterwards, I tried to recreate it as authentically as I could and I’m pretty satisfied, if I say so myself. It’s also very versatile and you can enjoy it in so many ways, either as a dip or a sauce.

3 different ways to enjoy Tzatziki Greek Yogurt Sauce
  1. Serve it as a dip with some veggies and crackers at a party.
  2. Use it as a delicious sauce in gyros/pita or drizzled over salads.
  3. Pair it as a sauce on the side of meats, such as meatballs or kebabs.

Tzatziki Greek Yogurt Sauce

This recipe is really really quick and easy to make and you can prepare it beforehand, which makes it perfect for serving at a party or leaving it in your fridge to use as a sauce during the week. You need very basic ingredients that you probably have on hand already, apart from the red wine vinegar. If you do not have red wine vinegar, you can use regular vinegar to add some acidity. However, red wine vinegar makes a noticeable difference in taste and lasts forever in the pantry so it might be a good idea to stock up.

The main ingredient to make Tzatziki is Greek Yogurt. I suggest using authentic strained full-fat Greek Yogurt to get the best results.  It is packed with nutrients as well, which makes this recipe very healthy.
